I'm still trying to get my head around the fact that I got in from work last night to find the dog had done a poo in the bath. Just such a bizarre thing, I keep trying to fathom it!! Didn't know whether to find it funny or disgusting  I'm finding it quite amusing now but slightly worried for what her next trick is.

So what odd things do your dogs get up to?

She might have been trying to do the right thing? We had a dog, years ago, and if got caught short with a runny bum would poo up the loo, could never quite reach to get it in.

I came home today to find one of the terriers had managed to open my bedroom door and was sleeping in my bed (with lovely, clean, white sheets on...) after having been wrecking round the mud pit that is currently passing for my lawn. I have a cat flap so they can let themselves in and out as needed although am currently reviewing this idea as the pup recently managed to squeeze through the gate and let himself into the neighbours house via their cat flap, luckily they saw the funny side it but still mortifying!

Knowing how evil the little s*** is, I think she was just doing it to spite me :D

My friend's dog wee'd in her make up bag last night. Good aim I'd say :)

Hahaha that's great! Did all her makeup get covered? That'd be awful if it soaked into all your brushes/ sponges!

Hilarious! Terriers are so naughty it's unreal, Ruby also has a knack for knowing when I've just changed the sheets and will jump over them when filthy :(

He's started refusing to go to bed at night, like a naughty child. You say 'bedtime' and he pretends not to hear you, then you say it again and you get a 'Realllllly? But I'm not tiiiiired,' look, then he reluctantly and slowly makes his way to his very warm and comfortable bed in the kitchen. I think he wants to be allowed to sleep in 'his' armchair, but it's not going to happen... not least as if he ever does sleep in the living room, he whines the place down as it gets too cold for His Lordship in the middle of the night!

Ridiculous creature, but he is a character :D

I could fill books with the naughty stuff youngest dog gets up to. And not only that but she's teaching the old boy a thing or two!

Our new puppy once watched me have a wee on the loo......the next time she needed a wee she ran up stairs and did it next to the loo looking so pleased with her self :D

God aren't they just! Thankfully one of them is a temporary resident and will be going back to her owners in a few weeks, she's a 2 year old rescue border x patterdale so has no manners and is leading the 6 month old JRT astray!

Zak is deliberately naughty, he parades my shoe around, despite having tons of toys. He runs away for eight hours at night. He scales five foot fences, goes through a garden, across a main road and off to the park. He can be a total trauma! He's taught me loads! :D

Saying that, I think the naughtiest thing ever was big, sensible dog going over the five foot fence (it's a springer thing!), barking madly at the neighbour's tortoise then picking it up and waving it round in his mouth! Horrific! The OH had to clamber over the fence and put it back the right way round and retrieve the dog. Shameful!

Oh god, that sort of reminded me of my old MinPin bitches. She's gone now - but when I lived in the US, I would go visit my sister's farm where she had chickens - these big fluffy hairy footed chickens which were bigger than the MinPins. She was off lead one time and spied one of those chickens and as there was no rooster about she thought it'd be fun to go chicken broncing. Ended up having to chase the chicken which had the wee bitch on her back holding on for dear life. Fortunately the chicken was fine, but never got off lead there again! Mortified.

These stories are absolutely hilarious and making me feel slightly better about Ruby's atrocious behaviour!!! On Saturday I put a chilled pizza on the dining room table for approx 10 minutes, came back and she'd jumped on the table, ripped the pizza out the packet and eaten my tea. Little s***!

These are brilliant!

My younger dog HAS to have something in his mouth, we have taken his toys away to help with the chewing (he only gets a ball when we're out). He has begun to steal things and take them to his bed. He doesn't chew them, he just collects them, carries them around and hides them. I have recovered socks, pants, paperwork, the tv remote and my horse's passport from his bed so far. I can't tell him off though, I find it quite cute!

Aww no that is cute! Which reminds me of a few other devil dog stories!!!

Last time we had an electrician in at the end of the day he was packing up his tools and noticed a few screwdrivers were missing. I immediately went to Ruby's bed where she had a small hoard of them...

Another time a different workman was here (joiner I think) and he left the back of his van open as he was going in and out. Ruby jumped in, found his TOOTHBRUSH that he'd brought because he was off to the dentist after and chewed it to bits! I was mortified! I gave him a new one that we had in our drawer as compensation. :)

My first dog was incredibly naughty as a puppy and had a bad habit of chewing when left on his own. We crated him which worked really well at first until he somehow let himself out of the crate a few times and went on the rampage.. occasionally letting out the other dog so they could share the blame. I have photo evidence of their rampaged. This was the "dog room" they managed to undo the zips on the sofa cushions to eat the foam inside... I suppose I should be grateful they didn't actually rip the sofa to pieces.

One of our terriers has been staying at a local kennels (just over the fields from our house) .

Got a call last week - is Buster with you? she had opened the window a bit and he'd climbed up . got out and come home!
The large garden is well fenced/walled and she has dogs there from Great danes to tiny terriers and there is only mine who ever escapes!

At least she knows where to find him

I honestly could write a book about my naughty dogs... I needed to collect my husband from town which is about a 10 minute round trip, I decided (stupidly) that the dogs have grown up since they were last allowed to be unsupervised in the house and what could possibly happen in 10 mins... A lot is the answer to that. I came home with a tipsy husband to find chaos. One of them (presumably the drunker of the two) had pulled a bottle of baileys off the wine rack which had subsequently smashed, he then proceeded to drink the contents and lick the glass completely clean, get on the dining table (they're the height of cats.. the dogs not the table) and chew the top of one of the chairs and the dining table its self, various poos and wees around. Smallest dog had clearly drank the most and was projectile vomiting everywhere which caused my husband to heave, he was sent outside - I didn't need two lots of sick to clear up. Then basically spent the rest of my evening following the dog round clearing up vomit!!! I have honestly never been so worried, they are now NEVER allowed on their own.

Another time they were at my mother in laws before we were having a meet the parents lunch, I had gone off to collect my parents from the train station, the dogs were supposedly being supervised when I receive a call to say can I pick up more horseradish and apple sauce on my way back. Apparently the dogs have jumped on the table while no one was looking and licked the pots clean!!

We were really lucky with first dog, other than a chewed shoe he's never touched a thing I the house. However we picked up a 8 month pup just before Christmas....

He's been mostly in the crate when we are out as he's not that well house trained. OH went home at 3 let him out again and as he went to the loo he left both dogs loose in the lounge. I got home 2 hours later to find all the sofa cushions on the floor - along with my handbag which pup must have gone upstairs to get, brought downstairs without anything falling out, found the twin pack of rawhide treats in it, took them out, opened the pack and him and older dog were sat with one each looking very pleased with themselves. Nothing else in my bag was touched and the wrapper for the treats had been put back in my bag.

Older dog is loving having a naughty little brother....

This week our puppy climbed up on the back of the sofa and pee'd on my hair. He likes to sit behind my and rest on my neck, so thought he was doing that. Until I felt the warm flow ....

One of our JRTs did this with a house/dog sitter except she was in bed - oops!

Years ago my Dad got up one moring, went through to the bathroomroom and was standing having a wee, he didn't realise the dog had followed him in until he felt a warm trickle down his leg, looked down and the dog was following suit, Dad said he couldn't give him a row as judging by the look on his face the dog obviously thought he was doing the right thing.

With the current dogs, son's dog has a fascination with OH's shoes and regularly chews them, one of the others who is particularly attached to OH loves to carry his socks around in his mouth, he doesn't damage them but they do end up soggy - I haven't noticed OH's feet being smelly but perhaps the dogs are noticing something. Also one night OH left his work trousers drying on the aga and the dog refused to go bed while they were there as he was guarding them - strange dog!
