collected bitch from vets after spaying yesterday with strict instructions, no jumping, running, stretching, etc. Carefully lifted her out of the car, turned my back to collect some shopping and shes disappeared upstairs. Carried her back down, five minutes later shes jumped on the armchair. I put a load of books on the chair to dissuade her but she sat on top of them. This morning lifted her into the car to take her to the park just for toiletting, as she wont go in the garden,
went to lift her in the car and she jumped in, she never jumps in the car as she doesnt like travelling much ! The annoying thing is I sold the dog crate that had been languishing in the shed for the past 10 years a couple of days ago. Dogs are amazing the way they totally ignore major surgery !

That was like our bitch that I got from the dogs home many years ago. She went for her spay and Mum and I collected her later. She was never allowed on the furniture or beds and slept in her basket at night. When we got home we put her in her basket in the lounge in front of the fire, went back a few minutes later and she'd jumped up on the couch! Weird dog!

yeh. my bitch did exactly the same. No jumping or running they said. well. she did a lap of the living room and jump continually on and off the sofa the minute she came through the door. ?

Peril pogoed from one end of the vets surgery to the other when I collected her after her spay. The very embarrassed, very apologetic vet nurse then had to explain that we needed to keep her quiet and not allow her to jump up! She's part gazelle is Peril!

They are amazing arent they, part from her being more whingey she seems quite as normal ! Shes got painkiller for the next few mornings.
I am having to shut her and the other dog downstairs at night because I dont want her up and down stairs and jumping on the bed as she usually does, other dog is not amused as he sleeps with me every night.
