Dogs eating bananas

One of my choc labs has developed somewhat an affinity for bananas. He will peel them and gobble them down. Is it ok for dogs to eat them? I know grapes are a big no no but what about bananas??

we give ours manky bannanas for brekkie

our older lab used to take the bannana skins out of the compost bucket and cheew/lick them!

It seems that labs (especially choc) will try anything they can get their paws on.
