Some of you may have seen my post regarding a neighbour who tried to poison one of my dogs a couple of weeks ago.

She came through that and recovered.

However, a week last weds he tried again and this time gave it to all 3.

Casey, my rescued pound hound died a few hours later - the two remaining dogs were taken to critical care.

Schnapps, my 1st ever dog, lost her fight for life on Monday morning. I had been to see her on the sunday night and I knew in my heart that this was goodbye. She tried so hard for me, wagged her tail and tried to sit up so I could hold her but her little heart was working overtime so she had to leave. I held her for the last time and told her if it was too hard a fight she should leave peacefully as I would never forget her.

He can never hurt her again !!

"in life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still, In my heart you hold a place, no one can ever fill'

She is home with me now and watching over her best friend, Bella, who has again recovered from the poisoning and is home with us now.

RIP Schnapps and Casey - your lives were short but you gave so much

I hope you have reported this to the police and the SPCA (?) as people like that don't deserve a place in any civilisation.
Someone poisoned my (ex) spaniel, and he died on my daughters 5th birthday when she was in the house with him (my ex-husbands place) so i have no sympathy for them as my daughter still wakes up in tears months later

So sorry for you. Did not see original post. What on earth would make someone do that? Poor animals. Really am sad for you.

This is awful - your neighbour poisoned your dogs? What did he use?

You must be beside yourself - I can't think of anything worse. I am so sorry for you.

So sorry to hear that.

Hi, the 1st time he used anti-freeze type product and the 2nd time he used slug/snail bait and the vet also thinks something else was used as well.

No anti-dote to either

Really sorry to hear this, can't the police do something? Did you manage to get him on CCTV this time?

The cctv was due to be installed the following week-end, we did not expect him to act as quickly after the 1st attempt. He is very aware that we now have cameras.

Hi Tia,

The police have been informed as I already have several statements with them as he verbally abused and treatened my 13yo daughter on the day he moved in - twice on the same day and again a day later. As you can imagine being a mum I went off my trolley and had a few words with him. He does not like women and thinks we are not worth dealing with and that he can intimidate them. He got it wrong when he met me.

The police were called on the day he did all 3 dogs but they shrugged their shoulders almost and said unless he did something to the girls or we caught him poisoning the dogs there was nothing they could do !!! This was despite several verbal threats made to the dogs not only to my daughter but a third party person as well. Now I understand why some people are driven to take the law into their own hands!!!

We will get him tho - I am sure of this

Thanks everyone for your thoughts

Just a quick note - we have found out what the other toxin/poison was

He used ARSENIC - it can be found as the active ingredient in termite treatments but you have to be a licensed pest controller to get hold of it. We think he may have a friend who gave him some. Some more investigation needed to see if we can find a link

wat a b******d im not sure i f i would wait for the police to sort him out with out doing something myself, why the hell take it out on the dogs if he has a problem with you???i hope he dies a horrible painful death when its his time for what he has done

RIP Schnapps and Casey. My symphaty to you and your family for what this person has put you through.

Don't know if it's possible, but when you're talking about more investigation, how about contacting a security company that also does investigations, tracking, supervision etc. I'm not very handy with my computer, and it does seem as if "normal" people can do very much everything themselves these days, but maybe someone used to doing this sort of work, still can dig up more facts for you to use against this neighbour?

from Sweden.

That story has sickened me to my stomach. What an evil man - I just want to cry now. So sorry for your loss of your beloved dogs. I hope u get him and he gets what he deserves!
