It is the older, sensible, black greyhound too

Is she seeing ghosts? Still unsettled after the house move? Is her brain addled by the recent heat?

I must admit she was lying next to me on the sofa a few seconds ago when she last did it, so I walloped her as she scrambled out and told her not to be so silly

I think it's because we have doors and windows open in this weather and they hear all sorts of veeery interesting noises. Extremely irritating and my 3 make me jump out of my skin when they hoon off.
All stopped now however, doors are shut as Dexter is on 2 weeks lead rest!!

I think you are right - I was thinking that she didnt do it at the old house, but at that house the back door was through the kitchen rather than directly in front of her as it is now

I do think ghosts is a rather more interesting option mind you
