My dogs come to work with me. I'm a vet - they travel about with me and spend some time in the surgery. I'm about to start a new job where they can spend time in the garden behind the surgery which will be really nice for them.

Took my collie to the office one Saturday I had to go in on my own. She sat very politely under my desk til I was finished. I would love to bring her in on my weekdays but unfortunately one of my colleagues is a clean freak and this dog lives in a permanent state of moult.

Years ago when I worked in a Very Important Place in Dublin a very doggy colleague found a stray on the street at lunchtime and brought him back. He stayed in my office for the afternoon and after extensive talks with SPCA Dog Wardens went home with my colleague who subsequently found him a lovely home. What amazed us was how many people in the building said they were scared of dogs.

i dont work so didnt do the poll! but he goes up to the field everyday for atleast an hour, usually sneaks off round the lanes and comes back smelling like a lump of fox poo!!!

what joy! a lovely scent to go home with!!!

Our three come into the shop with us, and (through the office gate/door) get to socialise with all the other dogs and humans who come into the shop.

They also double up as models for dog beds, collars and coats, as we have a Springer, a 21" lurcher and a terrier there is normally one of a similar size to the customers dog!
