My beloved Cavalier has now devolped heart trouble. Yes I know this is very common in the breed. But can anyone give me good advice, or share their experience of the same problem. I have not let her get FAT, and give only 20mins exercise a day,although she would like more. I am scared she will have a heart attack, in which case how do I cope. <font color="blue"> </font> <font color="blue"> </font>

Yes, she is on Frusemide 20mg twice daily and Vetmedin Cap 2.5 mg. Seem to be working ok. I just do not know what to expect next - or even if my beautiful girl will last much longer.

tbh if she was mine i would keep going with tablets, keep wieght off her and let her enjoy life...worry about the bad stuff when it happens. there is no point spending the next few years worrying...u wont enjoy them and niether will she

That is true enough and I know it. Sometimes though just the thought of it gets you down a bit.

i know it must be difficult, all you can do is let the dog do what it wants to, enjoy its life...no point wrapping itin cotton wool!

now go curl up on the couch with it!
