Hello

I don't get Charisma's feed, I know she had Alpha A but thought it was just the original.... Well today in my lunch break I go to buy some for her owner, because she's nearly out. I ask for Alpha A, but once I got it back to the yard I see the old bag and it looks like she's always had Alpha A oil....cue ???????

She is a full tb, not fizzy AT ALL and slightly slender for the summer :-/ (not a lot of grass about) but I was thinking of just adding some sunflower oil to her feed to compensate for me?! That will be ok won't it? It's only going to be for a few weeks :) I just don't want her to get less calories...she's already too laid back as it is lol

I have only been riding her 2 years.....silly me

Adding oil will increase the calorie content and so should be fine. The only other difference is that Alfa A is mollassed and Alfa A oil isnt. Unless the horse in question must have a low sugar diet then adding oil should be fine.

Energy content in Alfa A 10mj/kg
Energy content in Alfa Oil 12.5mj/kg

Hope this helps :)
