My horse and I just had a lovely long hack out on our own (the first long one of the summer)
Bravely passing a crane, several buses, masses of people in their gardens making strange gardeny noises, a range of friendly livestock, 3 cyclists, motorbikes, postmen, speeding vans with surfboards atop, a van trailering a load of kayaks, shrieking children, 3 pubs with boards outside - all without batting an eyelid, I was very chuffed with my once-nappy horse. When we returned I gave him a big rub and a treat and put him out in his field.
I drove home in my car very happily, so proud was I of my brave boy, but suddenly I noticed a digger by the side of the road, it's arm raised up. 'Look past it, relax, he won't spook,' I thought.... DOH!!!!!!
I need a lie down!!!!!
