MY horse has just gone on a weeks trial to a hunting family they tryed him out at the weekend , I had told them that he would not be what they are looking for as not schooled enough as just being reschooled . But they insisted that they wanted to come , and I got all emotional as I love him so much and have a good bond .
But he is wasted with me as he can jump higher than I dare to jump as a 40 year old , and is honest and brave .
He would excel in eventing but I have not the time or experience to do that .
You never know I could have him back in a week but my heart feels broken at the moment , but he looked so happy and brave jumping higher jumps and being but hrough his paces .
So I maybe looking for a schoolmaster who is looking for a quieter life , 15,1 -15,3 in Yorkshire

I'm inclined to agree with Linda

If YOU are happy with your horse and he is content, then hang on to him

You may not have read my last couple of posts but I have a ACL tear to my knee and can not ride for at least 3 monthes , I have found it hard to find someone to ride for me and my horse really does need to be ridden .
I am hoping they deside he is not right but he loves working and jumping and I feel now it would be wrong of me to hold him back , and he does out horse me a bit so a betterschooled older horse would be better for me .

I understand that you may need someone to ride him for you in the short term, but if you are really attached to this horse and love him to bits, I certainly wouldn't sell him.

You could get a sharer who would like to compete with him. Then you would have the joy of keeping your beloved horse and watching him compete as well.

Although I doubt he is standing in his stable thinking that he is being wasted and really ought to be jumping great big tracks!

The people who are taking him on trial for a week and then paid loan while my knee mends , they are keen to buy if all goes well but as you said I would prefer to keep him .
Is very hard to find a rider to ride him as there is none about in the area I live , and was forced to pay someone to ride him so that he was rode .
It maybe a few more month s till my knee mends and did not want him to get board doing nothing , which he does when he is not ridden .
