Here's the report for her first show.
She was entered into prettiest mare & novice ridden hunter at the local RC show.
OH took the reins for the prettiest mare (until now I've been her sole rider) & then I took over for the ridden hunter.
What a star. She looked after OH like a true lady & never put a foot wrong. During their little show, she went on the wrong leg, but at each corner she attempted a flying change (just forgot about her back legs). They came first & the OH was beaming like a very happy cheshire cat.
Went to the ridden hunter & she warmed up well. Was the lead horse & she went round in walk & trot perfectly mannered. As always I was looking for the first horse to be pulled in, then I realised it was us!!!
I did our little show (OH is to be sacked as the cameraman as he only managed the 2nd half), she was perfect. Untacked & then got back on after trying our best to trot up.
We won that too!!!! Given it was her first show & she's only just turned four, I cant wait for next yr!!
I have to say that every time I ride her she gets better. We dont do much, perhaps once or twice a week we hack or school & I try to keep it fun. She's not a flashy as Stan, but she's far easier to ride & loves her work.
