The fantastic charity EST Leeds is holding 2 Christmas events in December to get you in the festive spirit! EST provides free donkey riding therapy for children with special needs and disabilities and around 180 local children benefit from this service every week. We have 22 gorgeous donkeys for you to meet too!

EST Christmas Winter Wonderland 3 and 4 December 10am – 2.30pm. Everyone welcome! Children can enjoy a magical donkey or sleigh ride to visit Santa, there will be a range of Christmas gift stands and homecooked festive refreshments will be available. Why not Adopt a Donkey for an extra special gift for a loved one – only £16 for the whole year!

EST Leeds Nativity and Christmas Carol Concert 15 December 6.30pm. The stars of our nativity are the special children who regularly attend EST Leeds for donkey riding therapy, it’s going to be a heart-warming performance! We are delighted to welcome the Alwoodley based choir, Mixed Voices for this memorable evening. Tickets can be purchased by calling 01132619249

Thank you

Sounds a lovely idea, but too far for me I'm afraid. Our village Chapel asked for our donkey to take part in their Palm sunday service once, was a disaster he refused to move and tried to eat the flowers on the graves, I'm sure your donkeys will be better behaved. :)

I didn't manage to make it up the other weekend, but I hopefully will be bringing my nephew to meet santa and the donkeys - he will love it. If not I'll just bring my mum who's a sucker for donkeys :)

It really is a lovely event, and I'm not even feeling Christmasey yet!! Do come and see me, it would be lovely to meet you and persuade you to adopt a couple of donkeys :)

Made me laugh! Our donkeys are of course impeccably behaved at all times!!!! We do run an Outreach service taking our donkeys into residential care homes and hospices. The donkey generally go into the TV lounge to meet the residents but we sometimes go into the bedrooms if the access is good. The residents love the visits and it awakes memories from their childhood which they will talk about afterwards. It's such a rewarding job!
