Donklet - please stop posting or change your sig !

Hi trundle -

Just to let you know - that ickle donkey is even lusher in real life - soft, furry and very friendly! You should see her dinky ickle feet!

xx

We have mini donkeys at our farm... they make the most satisfying screechy EEEHAW. Its fantastic

My horse would have heart failure if he came across one - small and cute or not.

Be worth watching him have a hissy, though

We met an elephant once. We were OK til what he presumably thought was 'a wall' moved. It wasn't very funny for me

I saw the most amazing donk I have ever seen last week. It was in Horspital (I had taken a colic case there) It had ears about a foot long and must have been a good 14hh. With a great long coat and blonde "highlights"on her ears. Apparently some rare breed, with a metabolic problem due to being in foal. Abbsolutely stunning donk.

Brighteyes, where on EARTH did you meet an elephant?

[/ QUOTE ]Yes ,you cant just leave it like that and not explain this close encounter of the pachydermatose kind.

Hacking round the back of a zoo. It was out in a paddock behind (close behind) a chain link fence of some height but complete 'transparency'.

We didn't fare much better with the Bengal tiger...

I have met ostriches, with the brave little mare. She just looked (hard) but didn't do anything. An eleven hand mule doing nothing more than stand idly about caused my lunatic brat to reach meltdown via panic attack and several 360 spins whilst retreating at speed. Loveable and genuine but completely lily-livered. (I grant him the tiger distrust, though)

Shant. Infact, I may just have to post more photos.

CelticGal - welcome, are you by any chance a Solly-hugger, or maybe Norwegian??

This is Fleur, my PB Poitou. Pure breds tend to be browner and with dreadlocks.

The photo in my signature was taken in June when Pebbles was a few days old. This is Pebbles last week, now seven months old

is Fleur, Pebbles mummy? what is Fleur crossed with to get pebbles if so?? i want a donkey but possibly a miniture donk as parents would only be ok with an extra little dude/dudette

Oh I want a donkey too, they are supercute!!!!!

I'm actually painting a little oil of a coloured donkey foal at the minute in preparation for a big donkey painting I'm planning! Only thing is it is so fluffy it looks more like a rabbit than a donkey in some poses!

Love love love donkeys!

Thankyou all for your lovely comments.

Fleur is NOT Pebbles mum. Pebbles' mum is a small dark brown Bulgarian donkey. Fleur does like to think Pebbles is hers though.

kittykatcat - I am shocked by the market thing, donkeys are so expensive these days, I didn't think they went for so little anywhere now. Don't suppose you would PM me which market it is please.

I have a fab donkeyforum, if anybody wants to join, horse owners are very welcome.
