Last wednesday the farrier advised me donovan was on the edge of laminitus. So he has had box rest for 5 days, bute for 4 days, soaked hay, and is now absolutely fine. I am now taking precautions to resist an attack of laminitus, his hay will now always be soaked, he is being excercised EVERY day, and is also wearing a grazing muzzle. Farrier has looked again today and has said he is fine. I did speak to the vet, who was fairly unconcerned, so I think its all steam ahead for The Ardingly show! Hurray!!!
