At long last Spider made his dressage debut on Sunday! A day I've looked forward to for years but I was such a proud 'mum'!
I've had to admit that following, especially spine and shoulder surgery, Spider's power is just too much for my fat, short and middle aged body to do justice.
I had been looking for a sensitive and talented young rider to take over the reins for me in the dressage arena and am sure I've now found him!
I just wanted them both to enjoy themselves first time out, which they did, but they also won both their novices with 68.85%, half qualifying for the BD summer regionals.
The judges comments were 'Stunning, expresive horse, a pleasure to judge. Just at times not always relaxed, supple and soft to the contact'
Comletely accurate and fair but for a first time for a young stallion coming into the stud season and with horses turned out in field in view of the arena, I think they did so very well.
Apologies for the sickly, self indulgent post but those of you that have followed Spider's progress on here from a foal will appreciate how much this means to me!
A warm up stretching back photo...
Pro ones can be found here, some lovely ones in there if you ignore the head tilting ones!..... http://eventtoevent.co.uk/shop/main.php/v/Equine_Events/110403Queach/1330-1400wm/
