Bertha went to her new home last night. Couldn't of asked for a nicer family to buy her, they came to try her on Wednesday tea time and fell in love with her... they came back last night to pick her up. I had stayed strong all day, making a fuss of her and giving her a really good groom and some of her treats. Then when the family arrived for her, I felt fine, until the mum asked me was I Ok... I have no idea how I managed to swollow the huge lump in my throat when she asked me. Bertha loaded like a dream and as I was closing the gates as they left the yard Bertha had her nose out of the window whinnying, talk about choaking back those tears...

Think I'm going soft in my old age lol

Yes that's Bertha in my pics... She is a lovely girl, loves jumping and generally hooning around lol The family that have bought her have their own yard and are very experienced, mum, dad and their daughter all rode her when they came to see her and all got on fab with her... I know she will be loved and cared for so much, but it was still very very hard... :(

Lovely that she has gone to a wonderful home, and well done for holding it all together - I have been in floods parting with some of mine, and have had some vert teary moments from owners when I have collected new horses. x
