Picked up my free copy of Equitrader and there is a brilliant article in it written by a lady called Jill Means. I hope I am allowed to link to it... it is on page 28 and I would recommend anyone who is considering rehoming an ex-racer to read it as I think it has been written with real empathy and it certainly made me think about things from the horse's perspective when they come out of racing. I have been an ex-P2P owner in the past and I wish I'd read this first.

This is what I'm currently doing with my newly acquired gelding, luckily he has had a years downtime out of racing with his old owner, he has come to me and I'm taking everything really slowly and so far its working a treat.
