seriously thinking of giving up now and just staying on for 6th form and not looking at a horse ever again.

2nd 'perfect' horse thats all back fired and im SO gutted. thought this one was the one, but obviously not ment to be. understand owners concerns and do not blame them. they were lovely people, but urgh its so fustrating

thanks.

its a difficult one which is why ive been serching for so long. im looking for a loan that can jump bsja or has potential to thats over 16hh?

there is no point though, ive looked at every single one and tried every single one with an open mind and got to the stage where they come to look at the yard and they say no. which is fair enough because it does have barb wire (which we CLEARLY state in EVERY email sent).

however we can section off a bit with good electric fencing where the horse wont touch barb wire.

its so gutting and i dont blame the people but i clearly tell them this and say please dont waste ours or yours time if your not happy about it as we have traveled all the way to staffordshire for the first, then all the way to summerset for the second.

what we can offer is all we can offer and we understand its hard criteria to meet. but we tell the potential owners everything and i mean every single detail of the yard, we even make it sound worse then it is!! its just too difficult now and its obviously not ment to be.

the yard is a friends yard and he does us a good deal, its a 2 second walk from our house and all my previous horses have been absolutly fine there. im not prepaired to move due to the convinence of the yard and plus i feel that its not fair on my mum and dad who have given up so much for me to help me achive what i have to pay out extra plus petrol to get me to a top place when i have coped there before.

thanks for the help though everyone. xx

look, if you understand the owners concerns and dont blame them then their clearly is a issue with the yard that needs resolving. If you want a decent comp horse any owner looking to loan is going to be wary of how they are kept and looked after, loaning comp horses is risky to start with, you dont want added risks to contend with. I have to say though when I loaned out my comp horse I dont feel I was overly critical of potential homes, he went to yard of a standard much lower then the one I keep him on. So there must be a serious issue with this yard for two owners to have refused to let you keep their horses there. Is it really just the barb wire? I would have been happy enough if told it was going to be fence off with electric fencing.
