This morning I had a little lie-in so got to the horses a bit later than I would normally. There was a note from the YO saying "Frankie waited until 7:45am and then let himself out and went up to his field!!!! He obviously doesn't appreciate days off!!!!" YO then came down and explained that she had looked out the window and saw Frankie at the bottom of the drive wandering up (stables are at the bottom of the drive - field is at the top) and assumed he was being led as he was just walking calmly up. Then as he neared the top she realised that he was still in his stable rugs and I was nowhere to be seen!!! I have absolutely no idea how he managed to get the kickbolt undone, but obviously he doesn't need me to come up in the mornings because he can put himself out

Brill! My horse could easily do that if I left his kick bolt off because his stable is in his field so he only has to walk out of his stable and he is there!!!

Aww bless, i had this issue and was sure someone was letting my 2 horses out, until one night we stayed up there and watched it with our own eyes. My mare used to open her door and her best buds door (mini shetland) then go and let them both in the field !!!! i didnt believe it until i saw with my own eyes. There are little devils when they want to be.

LOL!! My mare is the oppostive - I was late one evening and found her in her stable, the door was shut but it wasn't bolted. I mentioned it to YO the next day and she hadn't done it and there were no other liverys at the time
