Went up the field after dropping my daughter at school (0930) as I always do and Lukey was in his usual place waiting to see me, I brushed him, put on his fly mask, poo picked and left. (cant ride due to tendonitis in my wrist at the mo). Went back up after I got daughter from school (1530) to check on him and give him his tea and he had cuts everywhere, all down the inside of his near hind, 3 straight scratches (deep but not deep enough for stitches on his near side shoulder, cut on near side knee, and graze on off side hind just above coronet. Been all round the field and can't see where he could of done it. Luckily they are all superficial and I cleaned and purple sprayed them, but it's just odd how he got so many cuts and scrapes, yet no where, where he could of done it.

Did the daft begger role into a fence? My TB is always doing that! He has 2acres to role in and he goes into the fence! That's the only way I can think of for him to get such injuries.

You sure there was no wire or rough patches of fencing he could have got caught on?...or perhaps he got in a fight with some brambles in the hedge?..(my youngster managed to do that once! )

It had to of been something like that. It looks like he has either fallen over or got stuck on/in something. Honestly you cant leave them for a minute!!!

No, I check my fencing everyday, it's all post and rail and its all fine. He is quite a big boy, 17.1hh so if he got caught on fencing, there would of been an obvious flattened patch I would of thought!!!

I'm not so worried about my lad as I have post and rail fences and he is a very good sidewinder so can always get himself out of mischief without panic or too much damage lol! Bloomin' TB's!
