As title says, I don't want to get too excited as it's a wee bit early and I've been excited over things before but had the carpet ripped out from under me, but I'm busting with excitement and can't keep it in
Remember a while back I posted a post about how much would this horse lorry cost ( http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/sh...rue#Post2473880 ) well I found out it cost 29,000 (£20,500 stg). They said they'd give me 19,950 for my jeep as a trade in against it. I thought about it and drove it and it ticks all the boxes bar 1 - height of ramp (truck high instead of van conversion high) but it's fabulous. It has an integrated cab into a little living which has a seat,hob, sink,presses and bed in the luton. Then it has a door leading to the horses. The height inside is big - even on my tippy toes (I'm 5' 7") I couldn't reach the ceiling.
It holds too large horses forward facing, with adjustable partitions. Outside it has a tack locker and I like the high lights on the back. It's built on a 2000 Renault Mascot chassis and was coachbuilt last year by George Smith (???) I'm guessing it's 6.5 ton more than 3.5 (never asked
)
I've put a deposit on it but I'm scared as well as excited. Before I jump in with both feet can you please advise me on what I should have asked the sales guy. I fought to get a bit more for my jeep and even pointed out a little dent on the side of the truck - but he pointed out to a little damage on my jeep - Touche - but worth a go! All going well, I'll pick it up Monday but I still have the insurance hurdle to get over!
Sorry for the post being total self indungent but I've always wanted one and nows my chance to get one
So any killer questions I should be asking, what should I be looking out for? Thanks for your help!
