we got 5 miles today!!!
i won't pretend he went willingly, we had 1/2 an hour nap session at the start, but I asked his rider to get off, and stand back. Smacked him a/c the backside and from then on he just went really nicely. He tried it again on the way home, so another smack, and no problems.
I don't condone smacking ponies but this one was just taking the pee.
He got lots of fuss, a small feed and two apples at the end, and was last seen dozing under the big tree, absolutely pooped.
I'm thrilled!
