so, my darling husband bought me a pair of long boots after i'd moaned and complaned, and hinted....

they are meant to be part of my xmas pressy so will be wrapped and put away (humpf)... but i was allowed to try them on yesterday to check they fitted etc...

they did fit, they were actually rather nice... they are Dublin Valley boots, in brown nubuck. and i really really like them. I saw the price on the side of the box was £90+... i just googled them to see if they had good reviews... and saw equestrian clearance are selling them at £59....

bummer

now, do i tell him, and hurt his feelings but save us nearly £40?

or do i keep schtum?

bear in mind he NEVER manages to buy me decent presents as he's SOOOOO unorgnaised and usually has to whizz to the shops on xmas eve... so he's MEGA proud of himself for 1)buying me a pressy in advance and 2)it is a present i actually want/like

i think i'll keep schtum and tell him how wonderful he is regularly... in the hope he realises how much i appreciate NICE presents. not petrol station flowers...

I'd say something i think... and introducing him to Equestrian Clearance could have other benefits to when he sees how many things can be bought on line for horses!

Yep, I think that's what I'd do too! Much as it would be nice to save £40, a bit of good will goes a long way

I agree. I definately wouldn't be saying anything.

Oh love him! No, don't say anything, accept graciously and then in the new year say (with suitable tone of surprise) OMG! Just found this great site blah blah blah, so he knows where to go next time!

There job done!
