After two failed attempts (logistical reasons) at getting a dentist out to my boy, we finally got round to our appointment today. Dentist was lovely, spent time getting to know my boy, who despite a few ml of sedalin was still very much awake, despite being completely zonked a week ago on the same amount (typically for one of the failed attempts - dentist was stuck in traffic). Anyway, cut a long story short he only managed almost half a job - the boy was rearing and being generally unco-operative and at 17hh he isn't one to be messing with! So dentist has recomended he come back with the vet and some IV sedation and he said he'll go the whole hog and whip his 'sizable' wolf teeth out while we're at it... so ... now for booking ANOTHER apointment and co-ordinating a vet too! not to mention the money - a tube of sedalin wasted and call outs etc... never mind the rest! lol!

Also had saddle fitter call today and postpone our apointment which could get in the way of having our wolf teeth out (will need a week without bitting).... just waiting to hear from dentist now. oh and need to fit all that in around work... I can't possibly have another 'dentist appointment' so whats my next excuse? lol! Life is so bloomin complicated sometimes! ha!

Please enlighten me as to why we do it? lol!

The sedalin wouldn't have worked 2nd time as something new going on and horses fight it, had the same problem only the other way round, saddler got stuck on my hilly driveway and my next door neightbour had to tow her out with his tractor backwards and she booked in the same day as my horse dentist was coming, luckerly 1 hour apart.:D:D:D

Yep, That is something I have noticed about Sedalin - while it can take the edge off them the adrenalin can take over... not great!

Best laid plans eh?! We can but try!
