Shh, she may *looks around nervously* be sound .

We have had no puss for a good week now, and with her very fancy new boots we went for our first ride of 2016 last night :D.

She felt fantastic and bounced her way out and back :D.

She is still a little footsore when bare on stones, but looks good on the smooth and the soft. Lunged her last week and she is much sounder than she has been for ages :D, there is still a bit of nodding when the 'bad' leg is to the outside and she is charging about like an idiot. When she trots slower and more sensibly she looks very sound, so I'm optimistic she might continue to improve as she grows her feet back in as it were.

She still has her issues with her white-line, I did try hoof putty but not sure if it helped or just put pressure where the abscess had been? She is still sensitive right down in the crevice, but keeping it clean seems to have kept the abscess at bay, so will see what happens as it grows out.

Thank you everyone who gave me advice for dealing with the abscess I was a bit of a worrier :o. Fingers crossed we have turned a corner!

She looks lovely bless her am so glad she is back out enjoying herself, milton sterilisation fluid or the tablets are really good for the white line, you just make it much stronger than you would for baby stuff, my mare used to get seedy toe and had a stretched white line I used to use Milton about 3 times a week and it really helped.

Fantastic update :) bouncing is a good sign :D

:D Yes I took it to mean she's feeling well :D. She did have a few moments of whoa what's on my feet, but then went back to bouncing :o;).

Thank you, I've been using hydroden peroxide do you think Milton Sterilisation stuff would be better? Gave her feet a good scrub when I brought her in and will pop some more putty in I think, but I think they are heading in the right direction. Need to take some more pictures to document I think :).

Have a look at Red horse products they are very effective without being harsh like milton/peroxide. Look at their field paste/Artimud etc etc. Pleased you've have a sound horse - I feel slightly envious, although mine was sound for a day last week!

Thank you, will have a look at them :).

We are still sound and even cantered on Sunday, without boots falling off or taking a lame step :D, so pleased! Fingers crossed yours comes sound again soon.
