Whispers...not a single bang this morning!
THat's why Im whispering!Shhhhhh, you'll jinx it ......
Suggest to the owner to turn the horse out? I dont really understand why the automatic response is usually to try and quieten the issue rather than look at the reason for it in the first place. Horse to me, sounds bored. Chuck it out in a field. Wont bang anymore!

I worked on a yard where there were no stable doors once, every stable just had a bar at a height for the occupant, only one stable had 2 bars for an occupant that limbo'd out.We ‘solved’ it by taking the door off. Pony just had a bar across the gap. Much more peaceful.
She's smarter than that. If I open the door and put her chain up she kicks the iron door frame instead! We ‘solved’ it by taking the door off. Pony just had a bar across the gap. Much more peaceful.
Ah see mine tried that but it was little welsh b legs against a telephone pole door frame, didn’t make much noise and wasn’t too comfy for her. I guess cob vs metal is just a challenge to make more noise. She's smarter than that. If I open the door and put her chain up she kicks the iron door frame instead!
The doorframe banging is worse than the door banging! They don't half ring when a shod cob foot hammers on them!Ah see mine tried that but it was little welsh b legs against a telephone pole door frame, didn’t make much noise and wasn’t too comfy for her. I have a couple of tyres on standby, but so far, she hasn't knocked them over. She absolutely hates getting her feet wet, so the moment she touches them, and they slop water over the edge - she's gone!I haven't read the whole thread but so I don't know if this has been mentioned, but if she does kick the water buckets over, pop them into an old tyre and she won't be able to. Plus she can also kick the tyre if she fancies it
Hehe you've outsmarted her ? ?I have a couple of tyres on standby, but so far, she hasn't knocked them over. She absolutely hates getting her feet wet, so the moment she touches them, and they slop water over the edge - she's gone!
