Dorset Hunts, info needed

Hi all,

I would like to car follow this year but now I have moved (within Dorset) I am now too far away from Cattistock area.

I am unsure of which hunt I need to contact that goes in my area but I have to stay very local as I can't drive long distances. I have seen them out twice a week for the past 3 weeks near Dorchester but no followers about so I could not stop to ask. Can anyone tell me who hunts near Dorchester?

Also, does anyone else foot/car follow in Dorset on here and fancy meeting up or buddying up (I have a car)?

Just seen second horses near Piddlehinton at side of the road but no-one around to ask!

Could be the South Dorset or the Portman?

Don't think the Portman goes down that far to Dorchester, so suspect it is the South Dorset. http://www.southdorsethunt.co.uk/

Thinking about it, are you sure it isn't the Cattistock? Thought they did the Dorchester area?

Piddle valley is definitely South Dorset territory, BV stop at the top, and Cattistock don't go that side of the A37.

Brilliant, thank you very much I shall rattle off an email to the secretary so I can go to the next meet and start a season of car following. I am very excited. Seeing all the lovely horses out today for second horses (huge turnout) has got me really wanting to go! They look good on the sab/monitor front as well, saw no trouble makers out today which is nice as I had a right time of it when I was car/foot following Bicester and Whaddon a couple of years ago!

I went with the Cattistock before and they don't go this far down no so I knew it wasn't them just wasn't sure if it was Blackmore & Sparkford Vale, West Dorset, South Dorset or any of the others and typically whenever I see them out there's no-one around to stop and ask
