My friend and I are looking to go XC schooling next week, we went to Rockbourne last time and want to go somewhere different this time. Any suggestions would be welcome, both horses are at intro / PN level, and ideally within 30 miles of Poole

Thankies

Bricky is sometimes open, but i dont think it will be with all this rain we're having. Cant really think of anywhere else. We are saddly lacking in that way round here arent we

Aldon is normally open on monday, the day after the event, but again, im not sure if we have had too much rain.

what about moreton? Hurn bridge have a small xc course, denefarm but that is over southampton way so prob more than 30 mins or of course hoplands (near dene farm) or bovington, they have a nice xc course dont know if you can school over it tho

hoplands, and bovy are nice courses. moreton is also nice although they only have a small field of xc jumps open, not the course, and theres not much in there. i think they open the course around octber when all their events are finished.

Thanks for all the replies - I might phone Bricky on Monday and see if they are open - as you say Stilton, we are a bit lacking in this neck of the woods

Downlands and ebbesbourne wake prob wdn't take you as long as you might think to get to..BUT I expect a lot of places will stop people using them because of the ground....Aldon is meant to be open on Monday morning, £20 per horse.
