Well went off to dorset thursday night with Rocks and just got back. Fantastic weekend - both improved so much, now jumping discovery confidently and our relationship has just cemented, by the end of the weekend he was listening to me so intently and trusting me 100%.
So my report:

Friday - started in the morning with the clear round. Had 2stops both my fault as had a bad stride and wasnt riding forward enough. Went into British Novice and did a brilliant round but 1 stop at a very scary filler (which took out about 80% of the class!).

Saturday - British Novice - brilliant round but once again 1stop, a jump by the gate and he napped. I growled at every jump after that and he answered and jumped fantastically so i thought, go for it and do your first discovery!
Discovery - went like a dream. Had 2down but didnt hesitate at any, just flew round - ride of my life!

Sunday - British Novice - once again just flew round, didnt look at anything just flew and had 1down when i got him too deep - my fault!

Discovery - now by this point the ground had seriously deterioriated and was v slippy but stupidly i still went in. Did first 5jumps spectacularly, really making a lovely shape and using himself. Then round to jump 6, a double, and got an iffy stride so he put in a little extra one to correct himself, the ground gave in (even with studs on) and he slipped and went crashing through the jump

poor boy. Jumped through fine second time!

So, all in all, a brilliant weekend. My horse is a little jumping machine and i cant wait to start eventing him! And im so proud of him, he was really really listening to me, making a lovely shape and really flying. Such a proud mummy and piccies to come!!

You're never going to change her. On the first day did you stop at the white spread in the top corner? Dolly stopped at that I was shocked. Like you said everything stopped at that even the open horses in the 1m class.

And why didn't you say hello? Were you in a tent between 2 lorries a bronze one and a blue one?

i didnt see either of you........i had 4 faultitis all weekend in the fox, 1.25, 1.30 etc etc et til sunday when she went clear in the fox...finally! although jump off was cancelled due to monsoon conditions, but at least i broke my 4 fault spell!
