Double Bridles - decent cheap ones anywhere?

I'm looking for a cheapish double bridle (full size, padded noseband and browband ie. dressage not hunter style, and would prefer brown). I've had a good look on ebay and seen a few for a decent price but sadly they're either cob size or have buckle fastenings. They needn't be the best quality as it will probably only be worn a few times a year but unfortunately I'm allergic to buckles on the outside of cheekpieces/reins as I spent a long time working in a showing yard! I can now only do billet fastenings

I have a sliphead I can put on a snaffle bridle but I will probably want it for eventing so I would rather have a separate double bridle than spend time changing bits around at every event.

Anyone got any good ideas where to look?

The Gallop comfort padded ones they sell on Ebay are cheap but suprisingly ok- I used one for eventing dressage for a few years and it stood up well

Kincade do lovely cheap bridles! I have the weymouth double (hunter nose band I'm afraid) and the quality if very good. For £30 inc two sets of reins!

I think they do crank noseband version, with two reins too.

The German online saddleries always have loads of cheap, good quality doubles. Can't remember about the buckles/billets, but have a look just in case:
loesdau.de
or
kraemer.de
(Doubles are called Kandare)

Thanks very much. I havr seen exactly what I want for 69 euros on the Kraemer website (the Claridge House bridle) but I have never done any German and though I can make sense of bits of it I wouldn't be confident enough to order. Any help greatly appreciated!

I bought one of these, dont bother, I do rate Kincade bridles for cheap and cheerfulness, every use etc but you'll find that there rock hard, you cant adjust them very easy and they wont lay nicely down the sides of the horses cheek/eye area...when your riding in a double bridle its important that it lays correctly, in the right area, you dont want bulkyness with a double bridle especially, plus you need to be able to easily adjust the sides when fitting etc.

I have a sarbe weymouth one going spare, brand new with the silver motif on the side of head piece but it is black.
Again another hater of buckles on the side of cheeks & reins!
