Id think so, id make sure that the horses mouth is big enough, not overly fleshy etc..................
Maybe check with a tack specialist or someone at your local tack shop etc that you trust........ all you can do is try
also remember it is a lot of metal in their mouth at once and to start with some horses will take the approach of AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WTF!?!?!?!?!?!?!!
I really need some help. I have tried a varity of Weymouths, from Mors Lotte to Tongue relief etc etc. She went well in a thin Mors Lotte for weeks then started poking her tongue out one side. Thing is she doesn't feel like she'e evading me and I have noticed that even without a bridle on she rests her tongue on the bars. It's a shame beacuse she actually is quite nice in her double other than slightly sticking her tongue out. Any ideas?
She's fine in her snaffle. I would ideally like her to be able to work in a double as I do find it just refines everything a little and when she's not fussing, she works very nicely. I'll have a look at the mullen mouth bradoons, thanks. NS have hardly anything on their site at the mo.
What mouthpiece are you using? can you not use something with a link? Often horses get their tongue over the bit with a straight bar but don't in a link?
Sorry I have no idea about BD rules
