Double click on hind leg(s)

Hi there, I'm hoping I can explain this well...
My horse, in walk and in trot, is dragging her toe so that the toe is dragged along the ground then she flicks it up and lands normally on her foot - so this sounds like a double click. Does that make sense?
I'm wondering if anyone else has come across this or has any knowledge of this? She does have stifle issues which we have been working on, getting muscle built up and until recently we hadn't seen this double clicking for some time. Any thoughts please?

My ex-racer used to do it and he had spavins so yours may need an x- ray. He could still do lots of hacking but not competitions or hunting,.

Thanks folks. We have seen a vet - 2 in fact - a year ago and they seemed not to be too bothered about this and were fairly certain it was the cysts on the stifles causing all her issues.
