As most of you know dougal came from WHW, had him 4 weeks now, he is still very nervous to approach, but once you have him on a lead you can do a lot with him, lunged, has been rugged just to desentise him, had tail washed, brushed body, tail cut, feet picked out but everyday is starting at the beginning and going from there.
He really is nervous, no petrified, i couldnt catch him for 2 days, tried join up, tried the nice nice pony cube route nothing worked, this was after being an angel to catch for 2 weeks, so herded him in to a small field and managed to catch him. So until he turns a corner he is in the small field.
Anyway today i led him out on a hack with the cob, he was a star, kept up with the cob, didnt worry about traffic and was just the lil pony who life has so much to give if he will just take that step and try to trust. Goodness knows what happened to him.
So lets hope it gets better from here.
