Then this is where Quail scared me to death, as walking home the little cut off from the river where I use to catch minows years ago when a kid I thought I would stick my head over to see how many there were. Next thing I noticed was Quail coming & jumping up but going to fast & I yelled in slow motion "Noooooooooo" poor girl started to apply the breaks on the top but had to much impulsion & slid over.
There is about a foot of water at the bottom, luckily it is very soft mud bottom. Though it still will be about a 10' drop down, as when I stood on the block on the far side I could not see over the bridge (I am 5'10") I got her on to the block & then had to lift her up & back over onto the road then haul myself out. Glad it was my light girl & not Snipe the Hefferlump!

My lesson learnt keep an eye on the dogs at all times.

if only all lab owners took the time to give them what they need like you....we would not end up with so many

They are a credit to you

wish my black lab liked the water. had the dogs out to a friends where they have a private lake on the estate where she lives, and her dog went for a swim, but neither of mine would go in

my old dog was the total opposite and you couldn't get him out of the water. if he even smelt it, he'd run off and go swimming.
