Hiya, what do you reckon this sounds like?? I started hacking out on red (25 ish TBx) today and she felt ok, she lives out but is always a bit stiff2 start with. As soon as I started trotting she felt at least 2/5 lame behind or through her back, tho ok in walk. From the ground she hardly looks lame at all, but the only thing you can see is that she is sort of dragging her hind leg slightly so it sounds like she's overreaching, but actually on every stride the front of her hind hoof is touching the ground briefly. It didn't walk off after a minute so I got off and walked her home. No heat, no swellings, no lumps, felt carefully all over her back and no flinching' held her leg up and trotted straight off with no change for better or worse, shoes are fine...really odd??! Totally not sure what it is! Will get vet on Monday if no change... Any ideas?! Thank you!!

Probably a bit of arthritis as she's got TB in her and is 25. My boy is 23-ish and he can be a little stiff in one shoulder in trot for the first 5 mins of trotting on a hack but it wears off quickly. As he gets older I expect him to get creakier (like me lol). Is your girl the same on the lunge? If you're worried, I'm sure your vets would be happy to give her a check over.
