Draghunting/Bloodhound hirelings in Kent/East Sussex?

I would very much like to try draghunting or bloodhounding this winter - does anyone know where I could hire a safe and sane horse to do this in Kent/Surrey/East Sussex area?

I have ridden for a long time but before I buy my next horse (which will hopefully be a hunter) I figured it sensible to go out for a few days on a hireling first to see if I enjoy it.

Also do the people you hire from normally come out with you or is it a 'go it alone' thing?

Sorry I don't know of any hirelings in the area but I can say that the Coakham Bloodhouds and the ESRM Hunt are great, brilliant days out & a friendly bunch!

Thank you. I contacted the Coakham and they don't know of any in the area so guess I will have to wait till I buy a new horse!

I go out with both the Coakham and the OSB&WK, and may know a few contacts that could help - I'll ask around for you - if you PM me a few details of what you are looking for (size wise, what you are wanting it to jump etc) then I'll see if I can find something/somebody suitable to help you!!

I'm having the exact same problem - want to go out with the Southdown and Eridge this winter but can't find anywhere that hires horses. I didn't think it would be this tricky!

If anyone does know of anybody who hires out horses in the South East I would love contact details.
