Some youngsters do tend to look really straggly, especially if the grass is poor but she could definitely do with a bit of extra love and attention, and feed!

I wish I had lots of money as I would go and save them all from that website!

Actully I think thats ok it's casting in the shot so looks a mess put I would rather buy that than a fat one.

Dont personally think the yearling is that bad. Needs some good grass but nothing that I would shout about. Except for the fact that its fugly as sin :-)

Good GOD, that stallion! They seem very proud of the fact that he's obese!
My cob mare is slightly overweight and I'm quite ashamed about it! (She's on strip grazing and has regular exercise, but always tends to be on the chubby side. The only time she looks lean is when she's hunting fit!) x

Cripes that stallion is ginormous! There is some real dodgy conformation on that site too, if I can see it it must be bad! They look like they've gone to a rescue centre and stuck bits of several welfare cases together!

It's the baby's teeny neck that gets me. Bet it is like a lolly stick.

I emailed the owner of the fat stallion- nothing aggressive, just pointing out that fat horses can get lami and giving her a few helpful links. Hopefully it'll help.

That filly, if it's a friesian X I'll eat my hat!
They've said its a trendy breed X so they can whack the price up (the usual scrawny cob yearling goes for about 50p on DD, right?), and they think they can get away with it cos she's got a black head. A very large, errrm, 'unusual looking' black head. She does look like at cut-n-shut, but I've certainly seen worse on here. Like the 13hh 3 year olds with knackered legs, that have been driven since 10 months, hammered about, and then are sold as bombproof cos there's a 16 stone lump sat on it, weighing the poor beggar down so much it can barely move, let alone mess about!
