Had it all planned - book the day off work, stock up on pringles and juice and sit back and watch the Olympic X/C on TV. But sadly not going to be as I've just received a summons to do jury duty starting on the 30th. :( :( :(

Claim you suffer from a mental illness then you can't do it. Morally wrong but my mother claims that all riders have a problem so it could be a winning claim. Also if you have a pre booked holiday you can get out of it. A conviction also gets you out of it.

I am sure that when I did JS (admitedly 14 years ago) there was a TV screen in the main waiting room. On the assumption they get the 'what you'e expected to do' out of the way before the start, there's an awful lot of sitting about to do as many cases then need various 'matters of court' dealt with before they divvy up jury for the courts. So you may get to see a bit, if not there's always the record button.
