Our last outing of the season today so set off to Draycott at 6am...yuk

!! Got there in plenty of time, walked courses, fed helpers and then off to dressage.
Ginger beast was quite inattentive today, lots going on and very annoying flies! He didn't like the green tree things at the corner of the arena so was a bit wobbly but the judge obv didn't notice this!! I came out a bit deflated as he's gone a lot better this season than today, but then watched it back on the video and it didn't look as bad as it perhaps felt. Got 33.5 which put me 2nd or 3rd, shocked but cheered up

Onto the SJ, not our fav part (managed our first clear last wk at Holdney, but with time pens

), todays mission was to leave the poles up and get inside the time......hallelujah (sp??) we did it, I was so pleased with him

!!
XC was awesome, he touched the hanging log with his toe for some reason, but apart from that was brill so lots of pats and encouragement!! We finished inside the time as well

Having never expected to get placed at this level I nearly collapsed when I saw that I had won my section....really didn't quite know what to do with myself!! Someone else was on the same score but I was nearer opt time so got the red rosette (and green sash

), and also a very pink fleece rug that is going to look rather fetching on a chesnut

So overall and extremely good end to the season, and a dream that I never thought we would fullfill

Thank you everyone!!
Seriously thinking about doing some 'wheeler dealer' mischief with the rug!!!
I think my next dream is to be jumping double clears at Discovery height through the winter to set us up nicely for next season....and you never know, if my nerves can handle it I may even think of doing a novice this time next year.....now that really will give me something to worry about

Brilliant, well done. I was there on the Saturday and the flies were horrid, were they there today?
A friend from my yard was there today but she had a fall at fence 13, horse stopped and she landed on her knees, but got back on and finished the course. She went into hospital this afternoon to check them out as she is in some pain.
Well done to you, fancy winning the section. What a great result for the end of the season.
