Anyone heard of this stallion? He is on our geldings mum mare`s covering certificate from the Denstead Stud in Kent and is supposed to be related to the Irish Draught "Cruising". Our passport authority will not put our geldings parents on as the stud covering certificate is not enough- it has to come from the breed society any ideas welcomed! yes i know its a dupilcate posting of the one in Breeding!

Have you contacted the stud at all, that could be your first point of call? It also depends whether the sire was actually registered as a stallion with a society too because that would mean he had been verified even if he hadn't been graded.
Some passport issuers will not put breeding details into a passport if there wasn't a covering certificate for your gelding when he was first registered. I think the only way they will let you around this is the DNA route which will be expensive for you if the parents haven't been done anyway. It might be you have to leave it because of cost.
I know it's frustrating but as he's a gelding it's not quite as desperate (except to you!) as if it had been a mare or colt that were breeding material.

If you find out the complete breeding from the stud, you could always insert a tidy copy inside the cover of his passport if your passport issuer won't do it officially.
