Me that is. I feel so bad and so stupid. Went hunting last Weds and horse got kicked in the shoulder, came up short so I brought him home. He stiffened and swelled up when he got back. Buted him and turned him out.
Next day I checked it when he came in and the swelling had massively reduced and he trotted up sound. So I am highly ashamed to say I haven't worried about it too much since, just given him time off turned out in the field during the day.
Was getting ready to go hunting this morning and went to groom shoulder, horse antsy about it and I realised it's still swollen and warm. Sacked the idea of hunting and now I feel dreadful that I've been so complacent.
So is this normal for 5 days after a hefty kick? It's in the muscle bang on the side of his shoulder. I am tempted to get the vet today. Thoughts?
