I got offered a place on a xc training session today. Well at first I didnt know whether to go but thought why not. So decided Ebi could have an outing and see how sound she was at jumping, as she hasnt been jumped since she was retired in 2005.

So off we went and both of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves - big smiles all round. It was only the minimus course which was a tad too small for her but seen as she hasnt jumped for a good long while I thought it wouldnt be overfacing her and wed just see how she got on.

Little bit tense at first but did she start flying half way through, just as though shed never had a break from jumping.

So after me thinking that I was never ever going to ride her again, not only can she be ridden, shes sound to jump again. Me thinks I might start doing a bit of jumping again with her now.
 
Big smiles? I've never seen a grin so huge! Glad you enjoyed yourself and the instructor did try to make it harder for you by giving you the more complicated order of fences with the tight twists (and she sneakily put a couple up too)

I can't wait to get Mol out now when she's recovered. We need to get your mum into jumping too!
 
big smiles might be an understatement eh? seriously though big thanks to you and Andy for letting me take your place. Ive just watched the video back that Andy took and realised she put some of the fences up! not that either of us minded

yes we need to get you and Mol out when shes healed and fit again. Mum does better at falling than jumping! plus the fact that ponio hasnt really jumped means I get that side of the training to do!

yes im off up to Chris Bartles place with one of his instructors. Not got anything booked as yet but going to get something sorted with him very soon
 
When my instructor moves next year im hopefully going to organize some clinics with Andrew Day. Im hoping to do one every other week if you're interested.

I need about 7 riders, at the moment I have 2

it really wasnt what I was expecting at all - was expecting the worst but she loved it and so did I... I wonder if I should go out SJ'ing on an evening... oh the choices
