Dreams of beloved horse. Is it possible??

This is really random, I guess it really comes down to if you believe or not... I'm curious if others have shared a similar experience?

For the past 2 nights I dreamt above my lovely horse who I sadly had PTS in August.

In both he is there and it's so real.

The first he's in a field with lots of his buddies, one other I even recognise as an old pony I used to ride and adored to pieces. He sees me in the distance and looks up, straight at me from grazing.

The second I found even more touching. All I no is I'm stood in some sort of doorway and I can feel him breathing on the back of my head/ neck, I instantly no it's him... (I share my bed alone before any assumptions are made ha!).

Any thoughts? In my second dream I actually started crying at his presence, but a happy, overwhelming cry not sad.

It's hard to describe but I almost feel he is returning and showing me he's at peace but still by my side :)

It's such a wonderful experience and perhaps others don't agree at all but I take great comfort in the dreams.

Anyone else had this experience?
 
Hmm, I can't say I do. Any horse who could open the front door and climb a set of stairs would be unique ;)

Then again, I believe there is an afterlife for humans so why not horses?

I would have to say you were most probably imagining it though!
 
There was a thread not so long ago about supernatural/dream type things in which a number of people had similar experiences so you're definitely not alone :)
 
Not about my horses as havent had any of my horses PTS, but have had experiences with beloved cats and dogs just as you describe. I guess he is telling you he is ok and reassuring you. Its really nice.
 
I dreamt in the week about my new mare which i picked up yesterday. In the dream she was trying to kill me and wouldnt back off and i was hitting her to get her away from me ... it was quiet un nerving as she is a bit of a madam so i put it down to this playing on my mind!? :confused:

I dream of my old collie sometimes and I LOVE it ... its sad but its like she comes to visit me in my dream and its just so wonderful as i still miss her dearly almost 11 years on :o

I cant give an insight as to why you had these dreams but enjoy them and enjoy spending time with your beloved horse again :)
 
Iv'e dreamt of my late horse a few times. In my dreams I'm panicking because I haven't looked after her for what seems like ages, I haven't fed or rugged her. Then in my dream I see her in a field grazing or waiting by the gate for me. Shes fine and i'm pleased to see her. I never do look after her in my dream, shes just there.
I believe that spirits can visit us in our dreams. :).
