Dress code question

I have seen so many under 16's wearing beagler/hunting caps last season, is it acceptable for under 16's to wear beaglers/hunting caps though? Or does it vary from hunt to hunt?

Im not sure its actually legal for under 16s to use them in 'public', presuming they will ride, at some point on the road.

i was informed by a very old chap that the only people who should wear hunting cap (Patey), should be hunt servants and masters, everybody else should be in bowlers.
Now moving into 21st century
i would suggest that for young heads a proper xc scull hat should been worn with plain cover

under 14's are the only people by law who must wear a riding hat to current standards. Thisdoes not refer to hunting equitte but to law.

Can't imagine any parent letting their child go hunting in unsafe headgear - I'm gobsmacked!!

Both my hunts would ask you to put on a proper hat or leave ....

Have never seen any children on my local hunt in anything other than skull caps or similar. Would never send my daugther out hunting in anything that is not to the recent standards as i have seen so many accidents happen out in the field!!
