I have been told it is smart-casual but what does that mean?
And what about the horse? Plaits etc?

Traditionally it means a tweed jacket, with shirt and tie.
Horse should be clean, but does not need to be plaited.
Hope this helps.

You will have a great time, its good for getting young horses used to hounds, you can give them plenty of room and there shouldnt be a lot of other horses about. just dont get in the huntsman or the whipper-ins way. keep us posted, presuming you are on horse and not on bikes.

Lol not yet, in about 6 weeks. I'm just making sure I have what I need.

I'll be going with experienced hunters, so I'm sure I'll pick up on what to do. Though I've been told I have to take the youngsters out  but will get to take the older ones first.
