Does anyone have any recommendations for Dressage focused backing services? I have a super sweet boy out of Hochadel and Sandro Hit Dam, moves so well and has a lovely attitude to life so I really want to get his backing and education right! Hampshire would be great but willing to travel and cost not important, top class education wanted but welfare is paramount.... any recommendations would be greatly appreciated :-)

I had great success using the Oppenheimer’s at Headmore stud in Four Marks,Hampshire. They rebacked and schooled on my feral Welsh D so well that he went on to compete at the Nationals with their young rider. She had such a good relationship with him that she continued to school him for me after he came home and they were very helpful in offering continued support and advice. The horses are well looked after but not mollycoddled and will be started correctly giving you a great basis on which to build.Good luck with whoever you chose and enjoy the journey,I wouldn’t have missed it for the world!

Thats great to hear.... I am really looking forward to going though the process as haven't had a baby before! I will have a look at them, thank you!

If you are in the New Forest area of Hampshire you might think about Jackie Stolper at Flanders Farm, Hordle.

I'd recommend Fairoak Grange which is on the Hampshire/Berkshire border. Lovely facilities and people. I train with Lindsey and never have any qualms about leaving my horses with them for schooling livery etc. They have experience with youngstock, having bred and bought quite a few, and give a good all round education including hacking.

Thank you for the recommendation :-)

I have also heard good things about the Oppenheimers. Never been there but I know a few people who have recommended them.

A few of the dressage riders I know have sent their horses to Jason Webb in Kent for backing, and always recommend him on social media etc. I have also watched some of his training clinics. Jason isn't a dressage rider as such but a kind and experienced horseman, who will give your horse a brilliant start to his education.
