Dressage bridle advice please

I am looking to buy a bridle to do local unaffiliated and maybe novice BD dressage but don't want to buy something that is really naff, as bit out of touch with current fashion! He is only in a snaffle with a cavesson noseband.
What would you recommend for a lightweight TB with really fine pretty head ( although he's a boy!)? Any advice gratefully received.
 
I have a gelding with a really fine head too, he has a lovely snaffle bridle that I got from Robinsons which cos £50, lovely leather & slightly raised noseband/browband with white stitching which is pretty, without being too girly or over the top!
For shows he has a rolled bridle which looks amazing (though it's a pain to clean!) and I also have a nice sparkly browband to change on to it :p
 
I have a fine thoroughbred with really delicate head. Got her the elevator bridle and love it! so soft and cusiony and she is softer in the hand with it. we have the cavesson one and it really suits her.
it is £150 though so depends how much you want to spend. there are similar kieffer ones for about £100 but haven't seen any in person so dont know if they are as soft and supple.
 
With any leatherwork you will get what you pay for. The Albion bridles are very good quality and they have the cushioned pressure relief poll designs that are very popular. I have a stubben bridle. It is good quality but I use the same bridle every day whether I am hacking or competing. I just change the browband for a bit of variety every now and then.
 
If I were you I would stick with what you have! Go on a few outings and then you can see what the fashion is, and if you would like to follow it or not!!! Then I'd have a think about what you would like to spend and what essentials would you like (raised noseband, padded headpiece etc), then I would buy the best you can afford. Then at least you can buy just the once as good leather will last well with a bit of tlc, really is totally a case of you get what you pay for.
 
I do dressage and my mare wears an Albion Comfort Bridle with a bling browband. I bought the cavesson one.
 
Elevator suits my very fine headed TB, and also a clients equally delicate TB.
its *just* wide enough to be dressage fashionable, without over powering his features :)

bling is in, white padding is out! patent nosebands are also very in, Elevator do a patent option....
