I was looking at getting myself one of these as I can see that you can play it whilst riding & practice your test. Does anyone know if you are actually allowed to use one in a dressage test as I sometimes struggle to find a caller - OH doesn't want to do it ! and I find that even though I learn my test well nerves get the better of me & I end up forgetting what to do next. I am only talking non affiliated prelim level.
Many thanks for any info.

you wouldn't be able to do this because the judges wouldn't know what you were listening to - you could of recorded extra hints and tips to help you out (of course I'm sure you wouldn't do this), but they are quite strict that only the test is read out no more.

Hi, you wouldn't be allowed to use the ear piece as others have said but if your OH is worried about reading it out because of getting the timing wrong then how about he wears the MP3 then just reads out what he listens to?

Many thanks hadn't thought of that ! Congratulations on your test yesterday. Perhaps I will just try it at home to practice. Just got to get over the nerves in public.

I spend ages pacing out the tests on the living room floor as if I'm actually doing the test, even to the extent of walking, trotting and cantering etc. OH thinks I am completely loopy but I find it works
