Went to the Hunters champs today, I'd swapped from SJ'ing and done a bit of dressage as its on my doorstep. Fat boy thin had been doing very well with a 1st and 2nd in our last outings.

However today I did reasonably indoors and fluffed the outdoors, as my new found look up and not at horse, meant I didn't hold him together and let him poke his nose and loose easy marks.

Anyway the reason for career now being over... a 9 year old girl won the whole thing, kicked my arse with two 75%'s versus our pathetic 61% and 55%.

Now licking my wounds with a glass of wine and will stick to BSJA in the future.... at least you never have the humiliation of competing against people 2 decades younger than you *sob*

definitely don't give up !!
I'm regularly beaten and sometimes quite easily by my friends 9 year old daughter.
some kids learn things so easily us on the other hand it cna take a little longer.

you never know the kid could have been on a been there done that pony that practically just needs pointing but then on the other hand she could be just down right talented.
