Hi!
I’m looking for a dressage coach (outside of a riding school), in or around Surrey that teaches on their own horses. I’d really love to advance my dressage riding on a horse that already knows what it’s doing instead of on my own.

Just so you’re aware anyone offering lessons on their own horses has to have a riding school licence (income of over £1000 a year I think it is) - so tread very carefully if someone’s advertising lessons to make a few pounds off their schoolmasters…

What level are you looking for?

I know a good number of dressage coaches in the county, up to GP level, not one uses their own horses for clients and as Teapot points out - its another level to take out the additional insurances, liabilities etc.
Sorry OP, try the likes of Wellington which isn't too far from Surrey.

Anyone teaching on their own horse without a riding school license will not be covered by their insurance so be careful, better to go to a riding school that has schoolmasters.
